When the internet goes down

When the internet drops, it feels like everything is broken. Usually it is one box. These checks find which one.

Before you start

Is it one device or everyone? If only your computer is off, turn its Wi-Fi off and on. If everyone is off, keep going.
Look at the box from your internet provider. A red or blinking status light means the line itself is down.
Unplug that box, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in. Give it three minutes.
Still a red light? Call your internet provider. The line and that box are theirs.
Line fine, office still offline? Call us at 888 274 3530. The firewall and Wi-Fi are ours.

With the Network card, the firewall is monitored, so we see it go dark.
