Work phones and personal phones
Most of our clients use their own mobile for work. That is normal, and it works. The line between work and personal still matters, so here is where we draw it.
What we support on a personal phone
- The email and calendar app for your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- The authenticator app. An authenticator makes the six-digit sign-in code.
- The password manager app.
- The app for your business phone line, if you hold Business Voice.
Those are work apps. We help with them. The rest of the phone is yours. A cracked screen, a storage problem or a personal app is outside what we cover.
The business number on a personal phone
A business number can forward to a personal cell. Callers see the business number. You see a normal call. When that person leaves, we point the number somewhere else.
When someone leaves
Work data on a personal phone can be removed without touching the personal side. Microsoft and Google both offer a wipe that takes only the company’s data. We run it as part of offboarding.
