Your business
Turn on multi-factor sign-in
Multi-factor sign-in means your password plus a second proof of you, usually a tap on your phone. A thief with your password still cannot get in.
Steps
-
Microsoft 365. Install the free Microsoft Authenticator app from your phone's app store.
-
Open the app and add your work account. Sign in with your work email and password.
-
Next time you sign in on a computer, approve the prompt on your phone.
-
Google Workspace. Open your Google Account, select Security & sign-in, then under How you sign in to Google select Turn on 2-Step Verification. Google's guide.
What happens next
- A sign-in from a new device asks for the second proof. On your own computer, tick Donโt ask again on this device.
- If a work account refuses the step, email [email protected] and we allow it.
- Never share a code with anyone. Nobody at WILDCARD, Microsoft or Google will ask for one.
