Tech debt and hardware lifecycle

Tech debt is the fix you put off. An old laptop, a version of Windows its maker stopped patching, a printer nobody can update. Each one works until the day it does not, and that day is expensive.

The line we draw

A computer running an operating system its maker no longer supports, or one past its manufacturer warranty, still gets help. The help is best effort, and emergency work on it is billable. Windows 10 crossed that line on 2025-10-14.

Keeping what you have

Patch Management keeps Windows, Office and Chrome current on every computer, on a schedule. $15 per computer a month. Your portal will list your hardware in an update, once your computers are connected.

Replacing a machine

• New hardware is a project. We quote it first, and it is paid before we order it.
• It arrives in 2 to 4 weeks, set up and tested, ready to use.
• The maker’s warranty passes to you. We handle any hardware issue for the first 30 days, then the warranty takes over.
• An order cannot be cancelled once it is paid. Monitor cables are billed as needed.
