Google Workspace: the access we hold
When you become a client, a super admin in your Google Workspace approves one connection for WILDCARD. This page lists exactly what it allows. If that changes, we update this page and tell you before the change takes effect.
What we can do
| Access | What it lets us do | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Manage user accounts | See your users, their admin status and 2-Step Verification. Create a user. | Count licensed users, find accounts without 2-Step Verification, and create one emergency admin account for WILDCARD. |
| Manage admin roles | Give an account an admin role. | Make that emergency account an admin. |
| View domains | Read your verified domains. | Confirm weโre connected to the right business. |
| Licences | Read your licence counts. Google bundles this with the ability to change licences; we only read. | Bill for what you use and spot unused licences. |
What we canโt do
This connection canโt open your email, files, calendar, photos or chats.
Other tools that connect
Some services connect with their own approval: your backup (it copies Gmail and Drive) and account monitoring. We list each one for you at onboarding, and every one shows in your Admin console.
See or remove our access
Admin console > Security > Access and data control > API controls > Manage Domain Wide Delegation. Removing our entry ends our access, and it also stops our support.
