Be found: search basics
When someone nearby searches for what you do, two things decide whether you show up. Your Google Business Profile. And your website. Start with the first one.
The profile on the map
A Google Business Profile is the box with your hours, phone and reviews. Any business with a location, or one that travels to customers, can have one. Googleโs rules:
- Use your real name, as it reads on your sign.
- Give an exact address or service area.
- Pick the fewest categories that describe you.
- Keep one profile for one business.
What Local Business Profile does
We set the profile up properly: keyword research, a look at competitors, your service area, categories, your services, links and a content map in your voice. Then we post once a week, track five focus keywords and send a monthly report. It costs $500 a month for each site.
What Managed Search does
Managed Search works on the website itself. The industry calls it SEO, which means search engine optimisation. We track your rankings, tune the site and the content, and report every month. It costs $1,500 a month for each site.
