Your business
Add a new person
Every person needs their own account. Shared accounts cause problems, and Google says so. Hold the Cloud card? Send us the name and we do it. Doing it yourself takes four steps.
Before you start
- An administrator sign-in for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- A spare licence. A licence is one paid seat for one person.
Steps
-
Microsoft 365: in the admin center, go to Users, then Active users, and select Add a user. Google Workspace: in the Admin console, go to Directory, then Users, and select Add new user.
-
Type their first name, last name and the email address they will use.
-
Microsoft asks you to pick a licence on the next screen. Google adds it for you.
-
Select Finish adding in Microsoft, or Add New User in Google. Send the person their sign-in details.
What happens next
- The person can sign in. Google services can take up to 24 hours.
- Googleโs welcome link expires after 48 hours.
- Your portal shows the new person on the People page after the next sync.
