Release a message from quarantine

Quarantine is the holding area for mail the filter did not trust. Most of what lands there is junk. Once in a while it is a real message. This is how to get it back.

Before you start

  • The sender’s address, the subject line and roughly when it was sent.

Steps

  1. Check your Junk Email folder first. Most "missing" mail is there.

  2. Still missing? Email [email protected] with the sender, the subject and the date. In your portal, People, then Get help, has a Copy email address button.

  3. Say whether you expect more mail from this sender. If you do, we allow them so it does not happen again.

What happens next

  • We open the held message, check it is safe, and release it to your inbox.
  • If it was held for a good reason, we tell you why and it stays held.
