Activate a card: fix it once or keep it managed

Every card in your portal has two buttons: GUIDE ME and ACTIVATE. GUIDE ME walks you through doing it yourself, free. ACTIVATE has us do it, paid from your credits. Domain Security, the card most businesses start with, adds a middle option: fix it once and hand it back.

1 credit = $1 CAD. Your balance shows at the top of the portal and under Settings, Billing and credits. Anything you activate is paid from credits first.

The three ways in

Open the Domain Security card and you see three rows.

  • GUIDE ME. Do it yourself, free. We check every step. For your domain this opens the Domains page, where each step is a live check.
  • Fix it once. We clean up SPF, DKIM and DMARC and hand it back. One domain, one time. $199.
  • Managed Domain. We keep your email trusted: policy moves, new senders added, monthly report. $25 a month per domain, plus a $199 setup that is waived when your score is already 10/10.

Other cards show one price and one ACTIVATE button. The checkout is the same.

Steps

  1. Open the card and select ACTIVATE, or for your domain pick Fix it once or Managed Domain. The portal checks your credits and prices the plan live.

  2. Read the Checkout sheet. It lists the card and its price, the setup line (the amount, or Waived, 10/10), tax, Today, from credits and Credits available. A monthly card renews from your credits; when they run out we ask for a card. Cancel any time. A one-time job is one payment and we start on it the same day.

  3. Select Use credits. A coin weighs, tosses and lands. The sheet reads Activated: we're setting up your card now.

  4. If the card needs a connection you have not made yet, the next button is right there: Next: Connect Microsoft 365, Next: Install on your computers or Next: Give us access to your domain. Otherwise select Done.

What happens next

  • The card moves to your team row and its character appears on your home screen.
  • Your credit balance drops by the amount on the checkout. The invoice comes by email and shows a credits line.
  • Managed Domain: we add your domain to our email-protection service with the policy at monitor only, and a technician gets a ticket with the setup checklist. The policy then moves up in steps. See The DMARC ramp.
  • Not enough credits for the first month? The checkout says so and offers Buy credits. Pay by card in the portal, then activate the card.
