SAML

Security Assertions Markup Language

The standard that lets one sign-in unlock many apps, by passing a signed confirmation of who you are.

Like a stamped visitor pass issued at the front gate: every office inside accepts it without asking you to prove yourself again.

How it works

  • You sign in at your identity provider.
  • It hands the app a signed message saying who you are.
  • The app trusts the message and lets you in.
  • It is what sits behind most single sign-on buttons at work.

How WILDCARD handles it

Password Manager supports SSO for apps that need it, and Cloud covers the sign-in side of your workspace.

  • A firm signs into its payroll tool with the work login.
  • A clinic connects its scheduling tool to its Microsoft login.
  • A company turns on SSO for its project software.

A question owners ask

Do I need to understand SAML?

No. You only need to know whether the app supports sign-in with your work account.

Something here sounds like your problem?

Every WILDCARD card exists to solve one named problem. Find yours.
