Identity Provider

The one service that confirms who you are so every other app can trust your sign-in.

Like a passport office: it issues you one trusted ID, and every border you meet accepts it.

How it works

  • You sign in once at the identity provider, then open other apps without new passwords.
  • Microsoft Entra ID and Google are the common ones for small businesses.
  • It is the place to enforce MFA and to cut off a leaver everywhere at once.
  • If it is compromised, every connected app is exposed, so it deserves the strongest protection.

How WILDCARD handles it

Cloud covers your Microsoft 365 or Google tenant, which acts as your identity provider. Password Manager adds SSO for apps that sit outside it.

  • A firm signs into its accounting software with its Microsoft login.
  • A clinic turns on MFA once and every connected app follows.
  • An owner removes one account and the leaver loses every app.

A question owners ask

Which one am I using?

If your staff sign in with a Microsoft 365 or Google account, that is already your identity provider.

Something here sounds like your problem?
