Common Vulnerability Scoring System

A 0 to 10 score that rates how serious a security flaw is.

Like the hurricane category scale: a single number that tells you how worried to be.

How it works

  • Bands run from Low to Critical.
  • The score depends on how easy the flaw is to use and what damage it does.
  • It does not know your business.
  • Providers also check whether attackers are using the flaw.

How WILDCARD handles it

Patch Management prioritises fixes and applies them on schedule.

  • A report lists a flaw rated 9.8.
  • A scan shows several mediums and one critical.
  • A provider patches the highest first.

A question owners ask

Does critical mean we are hacked?

No. It rates the flaw. Patching closes it.

Something here sounds like your problem?

Every WILDCARD card exists to solve one named problem. Find yours.
