Going deeper

How it works

  • The device listens to several satellites.
  • It calculates location to a few metres.
  • Phones and vehicles share location data with apps.
  • Review which apps can see your location.
In practice
  • A trades business tracks vans.
  • A phone is located after being lost.
  • An app asks for location it does not need.

A question owners ask

Can I track a lost company phone?

Yes, if device location was turned on beforehand.
